Topographic, Land surveying and Geospatial Data (Digital & large Scale Geospatial Data)
Topography of a place is its landscape, geography and countryside, or in other words it can be shape of a plot or the features found on it. A surveys company is often asked to carry out Topographical Surveys for clients as they intend to effectively utilize the land for development of a project. The purpose of a topographic survey is to collect survey data about the natural and man-made features of the land, as well as its elevations. Topographic maps are used to show elevations and grading features for architects, engineers, and building contractors .
- A specific description of the survey site, along with designated areas outside the actual survey site where topographic information is required.
- The location, description, datum and elevation of all benchmarks to be used for the survey.
- Location and elevations of utilities is often an important part of a topographic survey. We like to have a clear understanding of which utilities are to be located and what information on each utility is to be shown.
Bathymetric/Hydrographic Survey
Bathymetric or Hydrographic are both terms referring to submarine topography and are sometimes used interchangeably. Bathymetry is the foundation of the science of hydrography, which measures the physical features of a water body. Hydrography includes not only bathymetry, but also the shape and features of the shoreline, the characteristics of tides, currents, and waves, and the physical and chemical properties of the water itself.
RCE has been providing Bathymetric heights, river bed profiling/ cross-section for generation of the Hydrographic model.
